Xigaze Municipal Heilongjiang Aid-Tibet Apartment Heating Retrofit Project
Case 32: Xigaze Municipal Heilongjiang Aid-Tibet Apartment Heating Retrofit Project
Project Objective: Existing building hydronic heating retrofit project, serving as a benchmark reference for similar cold-climate or overseas European projects.
Building Area: 3,000m2
Climate Conditions: High altitude in Xigaze with long, harsh winters; legacy electric heating systems suffered from high energy consumption and poor heating performance.
Project Requirements: Upgrade and retrofit the apartment's existing hydronic system, phasing out old electric heaters to achieve centralized, stable building-wide heating while balancing energy efficiency and ease of maintenance.
Solution & Performance:
Before Retrofit: The old heating system suffered from unstable thermal output, soaring energy consumption, high maintenance costs, and failed to meet comfortable living standards.
After Retrofit: Configured with 5 units of 30HP ultra-low temperature air source heating heat pumps supplying centralized hot water, paired with water underfloor heating terminals.
Integrated with a comprehensive smart automatic control system that dynamically adjusts supply water temperatures based on outdoor ambient changes, perfectly accommodating dramatic plateau temperature shifts.
Post-retrofit, heating quality improved dramatically, keeping indoor temperatures stable between 18℃ and 22℃. The system supports remote monitoring to minimize manual labor costs, cuts overall operational energy consumption significantly, and provides a highly replicable model for retrofitting existing building stock in cold regions.
